About Us - Curious Threads

Curious Threads was formed in December 2015 after a call to contemporary artists in Region 2 of the QGBI by Amelia Leigh. With no contemporary quilting group in the South East area there was a strong response with Curious Threads settling to become a cohesive group of 12 members affiliated to the Quilters Guild.

Curious Threads is now comprised of 9 Sussex artists - Alison Livesley, Amelia Leigh, Jane Falls, Linda Hoddy, Liz Howlett, Liz Maddock, Sue Duncan, Sue Norgrove-Moore and Sue Sherwood.

Members work individually as well as to group challenges, extending and developing their skills and experience through in-house tutored workshops and shared knowledge.

Although predominantly quilters, there is a wide range of textile interests, including embroidery, embellishment, fabric painting, printing, dyeing and book making.
